Direct Marketing

Direct MarketingDirect marketing (also referred to as direct mail) is the delivery of your advertising and/or promotional message via the postal mail. Often designed as a personalized letter with an attached business reply card, these mailings provide the consumer with background on your institution, a strong call-to-action, and various ways of follow-through – including a phone number, website and business reply card (BRC).

Mailing lists are procured that most closely match the profile of your student, allowing for target messaging to be delivered in a cost-effective manner. Personalization of data and messaging is available, and various test lists, offers, creative designs and timing can be executed for optimization and analysis of these mailings and their response levels. All direct mail pieces are given specific source codes that allow tracking for list response and creative performance. The ROI for direct mail is also relatively predictable based upon historical data, so response results can be projected based upon investment and volume of pieces delivered to consumers.

EDU Interactive utilizes various creative executions of direct mail for our partnering colleges, including letters with BRC’s, self-mailers, postcards, brochures, catalogs, and flyers. We also run all lists through the NCOA to ensure only valid names and addresses are utilized, to stay on top of the latest changes to postal regulations, and to make sure our updated lists do not include individuals who have requested to be removed from future mailings.
